Ingo Hofmaier has 14 years’ experience in corporate finance, corporate M&A and general management in Europe, Africa and Asia. Formerly with Rio Tinto focusing on JVs and multi-jurisdictional transactions, where he worked on the US$5bn takeover of Ivanhoe, the integration of Riversdale and concluded a JV between Rio Tinto and Chinalco. Prior to this, Ingo was 4 years MD of Wienerberger in India and two years with Wienerberger’s corporate finance team in Vienna responsible for corporate M&A work & financial planning for the group. Ingo has an MA in Business (University of Eisenstadt - Austria) and is an INSEAD (Asian International Executive Programme - Shanghai) graduate. He is a CFA charterholder since 2004. His sector and commodity experience spans coal, bauxite and aluminium, iron ore, potash, phosphates, uranium, base metals, steel and building materials.
