Elena Amirkhanova is a Partner and Global Lead of ERM Sustainable Finance Services, based in London. Prior to joining the ERM team in the UK in 2012 Elena was leading Impact Assessment and Planning Practice in ERM Moscow and has taken the lead on many assignments for a wide range of international financial institutions and large mining, O&G and infrastructure companies in Eurasia. Ms. Amirkhanova has substantial experience in Social Consulting Services, Risk Assessments, Trainings, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Due Diligence and Corporate Advisory Services to the senior executives to identify and manage environmental and social risks in extractive and other industries. Her project experience extends to a very wide range of projects in various geographies in Europe, Africa and Asia with primarily focus on countries of the Former Soviet Union including Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. Prior to joining ERM Elena worked for a Gold mining company, UNDP, UNEP in Russia and Fish and Wildlife service in the US.
