Dipl.-Ing. Detlev Schroeder, Head of Mine Planning of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions AG, is a senior expert in all aspects of opencast mining and equipment engineering based on long-term planning and management experience. He was in charge of planning and equipment design for many years in his positions in ThyssenKrupp Resource Technologies and its predecessors. In his current position he is actively engaged in mining projects involving continuously operating mining systems all over the world. His qualifications cover geological evaluations, material analysis, mine planning, basic equipment design, application planning, feasibility studies, preparation of tenders and contracts and organisation of technical cooperation with partners from other companies and inside the mining industry. Detlev Schroeder holds two process patents and is author of numerous publications.
